REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. (CBS) – Police in Delaware have arrested a 24-year-old man after he allegedly stole his grandmother’s credit card and spent more than $2,500.
According to police, Maxwell J. Schenck stole his 82-year-old grandmother’s credit card while living with her in Rehoboth Beach.
Police say he made multiple purchases at various stores, including Safeway, Wal-Mart, Royal Farms, and Ruby Tuesday where it was last used on November 25, 2012.
Schenck was arrested Friday afternoon and charged with 61 counts of unlawful use of credit card and two counts of felony theft.
He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of $126,000 bail.
