Study: Hot Chocolate Tastes Better In Orange Cup

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A new study has found that hot chocolate tastes better when it was drank from an orange or cream colored cup.

According to a report by Medical News Today, the study, done by Betina Piqueras-Fiszman, of the Polytechnic University of Valencia in Spain, and Charles Spence, of the University of Oxford in the UK, used 57 participants who sampled hot chocolate from four different plastic cups used at vending machines.

Participants were then asked to rank each drink from 1 to 10 based on enjoyment, sweetness, flavor and chocolate aroma.

The researchers found that participants ranked the hot chocolate highest on flavor when served from orange and cream plastic cups.
