PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - There’s a new TV guide for the digital generation.

The social TV check-in app GetGlue reflects what’s popular and which shows have the most engaged fan bases. Brian Hernandez is entertainment reporter for the tech news site, Mashable.

“Think of GetGlue as a social entertainment platform that functions like foursquare in like that instead of checking into places from your smartphone, laptop, or tablet you’re checking into TV shows, movies, and other entertainment related items.”

Activity on GetGlue includes check-ins, likes, reviews, and unlocking stickers

“More and more particularly because of GetGlue’s recent redesign, people are using the service as a personalized TV guide and commenting platform to interact with other users now.”

Some of the top social TV shows in 2012 included “Once Upon A Time” “Glee” “Grey’s Anatomy” and “True Blood” “The Walking Dead” and “Doctor Who”
