New Castle County Double Shooting Under Investigation
NEW CASTLE COUNTY (CBS) – Police in Delaware are investigating a fatal double shooting that happened Wednesday afternoon.
Police were called out to a home in the 200 block of Beau Tree Drive in Brandywine Hundred following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, authorities reportedly found a 31-year-old man shot in the chest in the kitchen. Another victim, a 50-year-old woman, was reportedly found dead upstairs.
An investigation revealed the female died from an apparent gunshot wound. Her identity is being withheld pending notification of family members.
The man was taken to Christiana Hospital for treatment. There is no word on the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
