PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A 22-year-old man will be behind bars for a long time after his sentencing today for the sexual assaults of two young teenage girls in the fall of 2011.
Assistant District Attorney Kristen Kemp says 22-year-old Travis Trusedale was sentenced to 53 to 107 years for the assaults on two girls, 13 and 16, at a bus stop on October 15 2011. Kemp says the first assault involved the 13-year-old girl who was dragged into an alley by Trusedale.
“He also stole some property from her. She was able to fight him off, remarkably and ran home and reported it to her parents, who called the police. But when she got away from him, he went right back to that same bus stop and attacked a 16-year-old girl,” said Kemp.
Charges against the man include rape, aggravated indecent assault, robbery and related crimes. The 22-year-old man is expected to serve his time in a state prison.
