Cops: Suspect Leads Wilmington Police In Chase, Then Runs Out Of Gas

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) – A police chase in Wilmington came to an end after the suspect’s vehicle ran out of gas.

Police say they saw Tyree Jackson speeding down the 1300 block of West 4th Street in a 2001 Buick Century Wednesday afternoon.

When the officer attempted to stop Jackson, he reportedly sped away. The chase continued onto I-95 north where the Jackson’s vehicle ran out of fuel and
slowed to a stop. Officers took Jackson into custody without further incident.

Jackson was charged with several traffic violations.

An investigation revealed that Jackson also had an outstanding warrant.
