PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Kansas City Chiefs and Andy Reid are very close to coming to an agreement to make Reid the Cheifs’ head coach, CBS Sports reports.
They worked through an afternoon meeting and have reached a point where staff and other issues have been resolved. Both expect everything to be formalized soon, and wholesale changes will be coming, with an announcement likely Thursday.
Reid was scheduled to travel to San Diego to meet with Chargers officials. That meeting has been canceled.
Reid was fired Monday as Eagles head coach after 14 years with the team.
