UPDATE: 2 Dead After Accident In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A second person has died after a vehicle accident in the Belmont section of the city on Sunday night.

The crash occurred shortly before 11 p.m. Police say a car struck several other vehicles before crashing at the intersection of 41st Street and Haverford Avenue.

One male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. A second male victim, who was ejected from the vehicle, was transported to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in critical condition. He later died.

Officials say the two deceased victims were in their twenties. There was also a third person in the car, who is in critical condition at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Police continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
