PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — On the streets of South Philadelphia, where diehard Eagles fans hang out, there was no shortage of opinions today about Andy Reid.
After a 4-and-12 season, the Birds decided to move “in a different direction” (see related story).
Frank Greco thinks Reid did a good job during his 14-season tenure but agrees it’s time to move on.
“Thank you very much,” Greco said today. “We had a lot of winning seasons, we went to a lot of playoff games, you did a great job, but we need young blood in the Eagles’ organization. You got a lot of new players — we need a new coach.”
Adam (no last name given), from Detroit, has a different perspective: he would like to see Reid on the sidelines coaching the Lions next season.
“It’s just getting out of hand,” he told KYW Newsradio today. “We have all the talent, we don’t have any use with it with Jim Schwartz right now. “I think Andy Reid would definitely help out with us. So I would love to have him — I know there’s a lot of teams that would love to have him.”
