PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - New Year’s isn’t just for adults. Some kids had the opportunity to ring in 2013 a little early Monday.
At the Please Touch Museum there was a countdown to noon complete with performers, dancing and music.
Some kids had resolutions.
“Make sure that my room is always clean so I don’t get in trouble.”
Others had wishes.
“I wish, I wish, I wish for a …I had a pony.”
And parents get their wish of celebrating with their kids while still getting them to bed at a reasonable time.
“Just the atmosphere here, I love. And that they do the countdown for the kids at noon instead of having them wait till midnight and that they include the kids in the New Year’s celebrations.”
There was more celebration at Franklin Square where they had music, crafts, hot chocolate and a prime seat to watch the fireworks.
What will 8-year-old Marie remember from December 31, 2012?
“That I really had a great time with my Dad and my grandmom.”
