Delaware Police Investigate Robbery Of Wawa Store

NEWARK, Del. (AP) — Delaware State Police are investigating the robbery of a Wawa convenience store in Newark.

It happened just before 2:45 a.m. Sunday at the Wawa at 1 Salem Village Square.

Police say a man wearing a tan jacket, jeans and a light-color hooded sweatshirt entered the store, implied he had a gun and demanded money.

The cashier gave the man an unknown amount of cash, and the suspect then fled.
