PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Philadelphia police are investigating a double shooting in South Philadelphia early this morning that left one man dead and another seriously wounded.
It happened about 2am in the 1700 block of Titan Street, in the Point Breeze section of South Philadelphia.
There, police department chief inspector Scott Small says, cops found two men in their 20s, shot in a car that was still running.
“It appears at this point that both of these individuals were executed,” Small says. “They were both shot in the back of the head at the same time. So, it appears at this point that this is an execution.”
One of the victims died on the scene, the other was taken to the hospital and was listed in extremely critical condition. Small says drugs were also found, so the shootings may be drug related.
There were no immediate arrests as the investigation continues.
