NEWARK, NJ (CBS) – New Jersey Transit has announced its plans to prepare for incoming winter weather.
Starting at 1 p.m. on Dec. 26th, the transportation system is offering full-system cross-honoring, which means that customers who take a bus, for example, can use their bus pass to take the train.
And while the transit system plans to operate on its normal schedule Dec. 26th and 27th, customers are being advised to check the website frequently for schedule changes or delays.
NJ Transit also says they have snow-removal contracts in place with outside vendors and are well-stocked with snow-melting supplies and snow blowers in case of severe weather.
