ALLENTOWN, Pa. (CBS) – Part of Interstate 78 in Allentown is shut down following a multi-vehicle accident, in which injuries were reported, according to police.

It happened a little before 10 p.m. on I-78 westbound. It is not clear how the accident happened or how many vehicles were involved at this time.

There is no word on how many people were injured or the extent of their injuries.

The westbound side of the interstate is shut down at Route 309. Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
