Wilmington Man Arrested And Charged With Christmas Eve Murder

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) – A Wilmington man has been arrested and charged with murder on Christmas.

Joshua Stephenson, 27, allegedly got into an argument with the victim on Christmas Eve at a residence on the 1200 block of West 2nd Street. After an altercation, Stephenson allegedly shot the victim multiple times then fled the home.

The victim, a 35-year-old man from Wilmington, was taken to Christiana Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Another person, a juvenile, was reportedly present at the home during the incident and was unharmed.

Early Christmas morning, detectives arrested Stephenson at his home on the 3200 block of N Van Buren Street. He is awaiting arraignment.
