PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Phillies have officially announced the signing of right handed relief pitcher Mike Adams.
The contract is worth $12 million over two years, and has a vesting/club option for 2015. Adams will likely assume the role of setup man for the Phillies in 2013.

He finished second on the Rangers staff in appearances and ranked tied for ninth among American League relievers in wins. Forty-seven of Adams' 61 appearances were scoreless and he held opponents to a .224 batting average with runners in scoring position.
