PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Philadelphia Water Department officials say service has been restored to a number of customers in Fishtown who had been left without it since early Sunday morning.
A 10-inch main burst around 1 a.m., near the intersection of Girard and Montgomery Avenues, leaving about ten homes without water and two homes with flooded basements.
A Water Department Spokesman says traffic is expected to be slow getting through that area as crews continue to clean up.
Anyone who experienced property damage as a result of the water main break should call the hotline at 215-685-6300.
