PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The Philadelphia School District has released a statement on the deadly shooting at an elementary school in Connecticut.
The statement reads:
“The School District of Philadelphia sends our deepest sympathies to the Sandy Hook Elementary School community in this time of sorrow. We condemn this senseless tragedy and pray for the healing of students, staff and Newton, Conn., residents in the days and weeks to come.”
Twenty-eight people, including 20 children, reportedly died in the shooting in Newtown, CT.
