PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — There’s a new set of DVDs that might make a nice holiday gift.
It’s the “Dark Knight” trilogy, three Batman films from director Christopher Nolan.
The boxed set contains 7 hours, 38 minutes of movies and comes with a slick, 64-page booklet.
Certainly one of the pleasures of watching these three revolutionary films from the start is to see just how interconnected they all are.
It was Nolan who proved that just because a story came from a comic book doesn’t mean it’s kids’ stuff.
It’s even been suggested that the “Dark Knight” trilogy is the closest thing to Homer’s Odyssey that the 21st century can claim.
