RADNOR, Pa. (CBS) – Delaware County officials announced charges against a Virginia man who allegedly lured a young teenage girl out of the state.

Ashley Hareford faces felony charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, statutory sexual assault and related crimes. District Attorney Jack Whelan says Hareford met the 13-year-old girl on line, and came up from Virginia to meet her.

“He’s given a statement admitting to these sexual acts which were confirmed by the 13-year-old female child.”

Whelan says the two met on Friday November 30th.

“He was with her during the course of a weekend, over the 30th, the first, the second and then after that she did return to her father. She was at home at that point, but then left with him on that Tuesday.”

The DA says the two engaged in the sex acts in open fields and wooded areas.
