School Bus Loses Control, Slams Into North Philadelphia Home

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A school bus crashed into a home in North Philadelphia Monday afternoon, sending four students to the hospital with minor injuries, according to police.

The crash happened at about 4 p.m. in the 900 block of West Cambria Street in the city's Fairhill neighborhood.

Authorities say the bus sideswiped a car, crashed into a cemetery fence before slamming into a home. Witnesses say the driver was on his cell phone when the bus lost control.

Police say the four students, between the ages of eight and 13, were taken to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children.

No charges have been filed against the driver.

Inspectors from the city's Licenses and Inspections department were called out to the home to survey the damage.
