PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police are investigating the discovery of a body that was found stuffed inside a cardboard box early Friday morning.
Police were called out at about 7 a.m. to the 3000 block of W. Tusculum Street in the city’s Kensington section.
According to investigators, the body of a male had been wrapped in a plastic trash bag and was stuffed inside of a cardboard box.
The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities say the body has been turned over to the medical examiner’s office. An autopsy is pending to determine the exact the cause of death and the victim’s identity.
The disturbing discovery remains under investigation.
