Police Investigate Homicide In Allentown, Lehigh County

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (CBS) – Police in Lehigh County are investigating a homicide in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Police say officers found an unresponsive male, Juan Alberto Devarie of Allentown, inside his car on the 700 block of South Hall Street near Harrison Street, after responding to a disturbance report.

Investigators say Devarie, 46, was with three females, who were still present when police arrived. Officials say the first female is Devarie's daughter, the second is his niece and the third is a friend of the first two females.

Police say the three females who were with Devarie said that their group was in an altercation with three other individuals near Devarie's car.

After investigating, police say Devarie was assaulted by two men and a female who were last seen entering a home on the 700 block o f South Hall Street.

Devarie was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital where he was pronounced. Police say the coroner ruled Devarie's cause of death as a homicide by blunt force trauma to the head.
