EAST WHITELAND, PA (CBS) — Police in East Whiteland, Chester County are warning shoppers to be extra cautious this holiday season, keeping a close watch on purses, handbags and wallets.
Detective Tricia Logic says two suspects (seen in above photo) recently slipped up behind a shopper in the Wegman’s Market who had left her handbag draped over a chair. The pair, Logic says, stole a purse holding several credit cards.
She adds the pair, each using a shopping cart, went to a Target store in the same shopping center and used the stolen credit cards to ring up $5,000 in merchandise.
East Whiteland Police want anyone who might recognize the suspects to call their detective unit at 610-647-2100.
