PECO Customers To Pay More For Natural Gas

By Lynne Adkins

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Starting Saturday, PECO Energy customers are paying more for natural gas.

PECO Energy is paying more for natural gas, so the cost is being passed along to customers, according to spokesman Ben Armstrong.

"The price customers pay will increase by about 3.2 percent and what that means for the average customer is they'll see about a $5 increase on their bill," Armstrong explains.

He says even with the increase natural gas costs are less than this time in 2011 and if you want to save even more money, get your heater cleaned, change the air filter every three months and set the thermostat a few degrees lower.
