Drexel Blows Second-Half Lead, Falls To Rider 75-66

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Daniel Stewart scored 21 points to lead Rider to a 75-66 come-from-behind nonconference victory over Drexel on Saturday.

The Broncs (5-4) trailed by nine points, 46-37, in the second half before running off 14 in a row to lead 51-46 with 8:57 remaining.

The Dragons (2-5) never led again, but they tied the game 60-60 with 4:01 to play on two free throws by Damion Lee, who finished with 28 points and eight rebounds. A jumper by Nurideen Lindsey gave Rider the lead for good, 62-60, at the 2:38 mark and started an 11-2 run.

Rider, which trailed 31-30 at halftime, shot 64 percent (16 of 25) in the second half to Drexel's 37.9 percent (11 of 29).

Jonathon Thompson added 14 points and four steals for the Bronc, Lindsey scored 12 and Anthony Myles had seven points and eight rebounds.
