Philadelphia Police Questioning Man In Connection With Death Of 27-Year-Old Woman

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Philadelphia Police are questioning a man in connection with a North Philadelphia woman's death Tuesday night.

Police say Dominque Haynes, who was taken into custody Thursday, was the boyfriend of 27-year-old Rasheedah Blunt, who was found shot to death inside the bedroom of an apartment they shared.

A neighbor called 911 after hearing a man and woman in a loud argument, then gunshots.

Police say a neighbor then saw a man run from the second-floor apartment, located on the 3500 block of Old York Road, get into a car, and drive off.

At this time, authorities are calling Haynes a person of interest.

Police say Blunt's six-year-old daughter and the three-year-old son of a friend whom she was watching were asleep in another bedroom and were unharmed.

The pair had been seeing each other for about six months and moved in together three months ago, according to police.
