PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The top three slots remained the same at the box office over Thanksgiving weekend.

Breaking Dawn – Part 2, the final installment in the Twilight series, was first again, earning another $43 million after scoring the eighth biggest opening of all time a week ago.

The James Bond thriller, Skyfall, scored a second straight second-place finish, taking in $36 million.

And Lincoln was third once more with $25 million.

Fourth and fifth place went to new attractions: the animated adventure, Rise of the Guardians, which opened on Wednesday, made $24 million, while the Ang Lee drama, Life of Pi, totaled $22 million.

The weekend’s other new mainstream release — the foreign-invasion drama, Red Dawn — earned $15 million, good for seventh place.

Overall, for a third consecutive weekend, industry-wide totals were well ahead of last year’s pace.
