69-Year-Old Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Public Works Vehicle

SEA ISLE CITY, N.J. (CBS) – Officials say a 69-year-old woman was struck and killed by a Public Works vehicle in Sea Isle City on Saturday.

Police say the victim was hit by a Sea Isle Department of Public Works vehicle while cleaning up storm debris from Hurricane Sandy.

The incident occurred on the Promenade. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

No criminal charges have been filed. The investigation is ongoing.
