PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – ‘Tis the season for Peter Nero and the Philly POPS. Yes, it’s time for Holiday POPS! at the Kimmel Center.
“[There are] Decorations in the Kimmel Center, we have the POPS, the entire orchestra, just playing all your favorite Christmas songs. And we have a great vocalist. But what you really want to see…are our choirs,” explains POPS President and CEO Frank Giordano.
The three choirs are The POPS Festival Chorus, the Philadelphia Boys Choir and The African Episcopal Church of St. Thomas Gospel Choir, along with organist Peter Conte.
“The POPS love performing for the city, and this year, we expanded from seven concerts last year to nine concerts, nine performances. So, it should be a time for everyone,” Giordano says.
The first show is December 7th and the last is on December 22nd.
