Officer Injured In Philadelphia's Kingsessing Neighborhood

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A Philadelphia Police officer was rushed to an area hospital after being injured in the city's Kingsessing neighborhood.

A 12th district police officer was making an arrest on the 5900 block of Belmar Street around 8 p.m. according to police.

Authorities say he broke the middle finger of his right hand and was taken to Mercy Hospital, expected to be treated and released.

Police say the arrest was made.
