UPPER DARBY, Pa. (CBS) - One man is hospitalized and another is under arrest after a shooting in Upper Darby Monday evening.
It happened in the 200 block of Sheffield Road. Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood says an 18-year-old man walked into a home at that location, uninvited. He was confronted by the mother of the man he was looking for, and she threw him out.
“The male that he was looking for was laying in wait for him outside. He fired at least one round with a sawed off shotgun, striking the victim in the back, the victim was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.”
Chitwood says the suspect was arrested moments later and the shotgun was recovered. But the investigation is continuing. The superintendent says the victim is expected to recover.
