Man Arrested In Connection To String Of Copper Pipe Thefts In Mercer County
HAMILTON TWP., N.J. (CBS) – The Hamilton Township Police Department is investigating several burglaries and thefts that have taken place in the Harding Lakes section of the town.
According to police, the suspect, Michael Campbell, 29, cut and removed copper piping and central air conditioning units from several homes.
Police say two of the central air units were taken from the Indian Oaks apartment complex on Old Harding Highway.
Officials say that Campbell was arrested during a motor vehicle stop on November 15.
Allegedly, Campbell admitted to being involved with the burglaries, stealing a central air conditioning unit from his current residence and partaking in similar activities in Weymouth Township.
Campbell has been charged with several counts of burglary and theft and was turned over to New Jersey State Police Buena Vista.
