PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Police are asking Temple University students to be more cautious after a string of off-campus robberies.

Police believe the same suspect is connected to the string of robberies. They say he points a gun at his victims’ heads, and demands money, phones, and other belongings.

At least three robberies, all on Monday, involved Temple students.

But this goes against all the typical warnings. These happened during daylight hours, and, in one case, two men were walking together when they were robbed. In the other reported robberies, one man was held up, the other was a woman.

The muggings happened near 20th and Montgomery, 23rd and Edgeley, and 16th and Diamond.

There were no injuries reported. So far just a vague description of the gunman, police are working to find surveillance video in the area.
