PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Even though Andy Reid has endorsed Michael Vick as the starting quarterback more convincingly over the last two weeks than he had the previous month, not everyone agrees that’s the right move.
Michael Lombardi, formerly the director of player personnel for the Eagles, and currently an analyst for the NFL Network, thinks Reid is making a mistake by continuing to start Vick. “I think Nick Foles needs to start,” Lombardi said on the NFL Network on Sunday.
Lombardi says that because the Eagles future is not with Vick, they should take time to evaluate Foles. He did concede that the evaluation is more difficult because of the Eagles offensive line situation.
