PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Police are investigating a home invasion in North Philadelphia Thursday night.
It happened on Ontario Street near 7th a little before 10 p.m. Authorities say four armed men, wearing gloves and ski masks, followed the homeowner as she was arriving from work and forced their way inside the house.
Once inside, investigators say they tied up the woman and her adult daughter and ransacked the house. During the incident, police say the suspects pointed guns at the women. Neither one of the women was injured in the attack, according to police.
Police say they took off with more than $5,000 in cash.
An investigation revealed that the woman, who owns a store near her home in Kensington, may have been targeted.
At this time, police are looking at surveillance video and interviewing neighbors who witnessed the men force their way into the home.
