Kennel Club Of Philadelphia Hosts Annual Dog Show

By Hadas Kuznits

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Kennel Club of Philadelphia hosts its annual dog show in November.

The Dog Show will be held November 17th and 18th at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks.

"It is our 133rd Annual Dog Show," says Wayne Ferguson, president of the Kennel Club of Philadelphia.

"The spectators come out because they want to see all these dogs, he says. "They're aware of the dog shows on television and sometimes they want to see them in person!"

Ferguson says this dog show is unique.

"Most shows across the United States, the dogs will show and then they usually go home," he says.

Kuznits: "So folks that come out to the show can actually pet the dogs?"

"They can! You'll be able to see all 170 breeds."

Kuznits: "170 breeds? That's a lot of dogs!"

"That's a lot of dogs! 1,550 of them when you put them together!"

Cost is $14 for adults, $7 for children, and kids under 3 years old are free.
