South Jersey Restaurants Hold Fundraiser To Benefit Family Of Murdered Clayton Girl

By Kim Glovas

GLOUCESTER COUNTY, Nj. (CBS) -- Two South Jersey restaurants are giving part of their dinner proceeds Thursday night to the family of the 12-year-old Clayton girl who was murdered in late October.

The Texas Roadhouse restaurants in Millville and in Turnersville are hosting the special fundraising effort from 4-10 p.m.  It's all designed to raise money for the Autumn Pasquale Memorial Fund. Autumn was the 12-year-old Clayton girl murdered October 20th.

"Somebody who is the manager of the Millville Texas Roadhouse knew the family and was able to reach out to them," says Ken Cohen, manager of the Turnersville Roadhouse. "Our store, the Turnersville Store and the Millville store is basically where Autumn lived was basically right in the middle of our stores."

Cohen says anyone who comes in to eat, or orders takeout is part of the fundraiser. 10% of all the evenings food sales will benefit the memorial fund.

A number of events have already been held to benefit the memorial fund, including a motorcycle ride, and an Ironman contender from Pitman, New Jersey, who took donations for every mile in the 112 mile biking part of the contest for Autumn.  Autumn was a BMX bike enthusiast.

Two teenage neighborhood boys have been arrested in connection with Autumn's murder.
