Suspect Sought In Groping Of Teen Aboard SEPTA Bus

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are searching for a suspect who is accused of groping a teenage girl aboard a SEPTA bus before pulling her into an alley.

The incident began at about 12:00 p.m. on October 24th aboard the SEPTA Route K bus.

Surveillance video shows the suspect boarding the bus and sitting next to his eventual victim. During the bus ride, investigators say the suspect indecently assaulted the 19-year-old victim.

Investigators say when the victim exited the bus, the suspect followed her to the 5500 block of Greene Street. The suspect pulled the victim into an alley, but she was able to escape from him.

The suspect then ran away on foot.

The suspect is described as a heavy set, dark-complected black male. He was wearing a multi-colored striped sweater with a dark-colored shirt underneath, dark colored pants and dark colored shoes.
