Del. Man Arrested After 132 Bags Of Heroin Found During Routine Traffic Stop

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) – Police in Delaware have arrested a man in possession of more than 130 bags of heroin.

The heroin was discovered during a routine traffic stop in Wilmington on Nov. 3 around 9:55 p.m.

After officers pulled over a maroon Ford Ranger on the 3600 block of Northeast Boulevard after the driver failed to signal when turning, they saw the front right passenger, 39-year-old Dexter Morris of Wilmington, attempting to conceal something beneath his seat.

A search of the car revealed 132 bags of heroin, or about 3.28 grams. Police also discovered that the driver, John Magee, 27 of Elsmere, was driving with a suspended license.

Both suspects were arrested. John Magee was issued a summons and released, while Dexter Morris was charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver (Heroin) and Possession of Heroin. He was committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in lieu of a $75,000 secured bond.
