Local Towns And Boroughs Reschedule Halloween Trick-Or-Treating Activities

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – In light of Hurricane Sandy, townships and boroughs throughout the Delaware Valley have made the decision to reschedule Halloween trick-or-treating festivities.

In light of Hurricane Sandy, Governor Christie passed an executive order Wednesday officially rescheduling Halloween in New Jersey to November 5th. The following towns have made the decision to move trick-or-treating to a different day. View the list below.

NEW JERSEY:

Cherry Hill, NJ has moved trick-or-treating to Monday, Nov. 5th.

Clayton, NJ has moved trick-or-treating to Monday, Nov. 5th from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Collingswood, NJ announced on its Facebook page that Halloween trick-or-treating has been postponed until Saturday, Nov. 3 from noon to 4 p.m.

Deptford, NJ has moved trick-or-treating to Monday, Nov. 5th from 3 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Evesham, NJ has moved Halloween to Friday, Nov. 2nd from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Franklin Township has moved trick-or-treating to Wednesday, Nov. 7th.

Glassboro, NJ has moved trick-or-treating to Monday, Nov. 5th from 3 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Laurel Springs, NJ has moved Halloween to Monday, Nov. 5th from 3 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Lower Township, NJ has moved trick-or-treating to Friday, Nov. 2nd from 6 p.m. -8 p.m.

Medford, NJ has rescheduled Halloween to Monday, Nov. 5th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Mantua Township's Facebook page says the town is postponing trick-or-treating to Saturday, Nov. 3. Curfew is still 8 PM for anyone under the age of 18 years old.

Maple Shade, NJ has postponed Halloween until Saturday, Nov. 3rd from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Mt. Laurel, NJ has moved it to Monday, Nov. 5th ending at 9 p.m.

Northfield, NJ has moved trick-or-treating to Saturday, Nov. 3rd from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m.

Oakland Borough, NJ has rescheduled trick-or-treating to Saturday, Nov. 3 from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Pine Hill, NJ has postponed Halloween activities in the borough until Monday, Nov. 5th.

Pennsauken and Merchantville in NJ have moved it to Monday, Nov. 5th from 3 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Pitman, NJ has moved trick-or-treating to Saturday, Nov. 3rd from 3 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Pittsgrove Township has moved trick-or-treating to Saturday, Nov. 3rd from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Runnemede, NJ has moved Halloween to Friday, Nov. 2nd.

Salem City, NJ has moved trick-or-treating to Friday, Nov. 2nd.

Voorhees, NJ has moved Halloween to Monday, Nov. 5th from 2 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Woodbury, NJ has moved trick-or-treating to Monday, Nov. 5th from 3 p.m. - 8 p.m.

PENNSYLVANIA:

Abington, PA has postponed until Nov. 3rd.

Ambler, PA will observe Halloween Nov. 3rd from 5 p.m.

Bristol Township, PA has postponed until Nov.7th.

Delanco Township, PA will observe Halloween on Nov. 3rd. A 9 p.m. juvenile curfew has been set for Nov. 2nd.

Horsham Township, PA has moved trick-or-treating to Saturday, Nov. 3rd.

Jenkintown Borough, PA is encouraging families to wait until Friday, Nov. 2nd for trick-or-treating.

Limerick Township, PA is encouraging resident should postpone until November 2nd.

Middletown Township, PA has postponed until November 7th.

Northampton Township, PA has postponed until November 7th.

Norristown, East & West Norriton has postponed until November 3rd from 5-8 p.m.

Warrington Township, PA has moved trick-or-treating to Saturday, Nov. 3rd from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Warminster Township, PA has moved trick-or-treating to Saturday, Nov. 3rd from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.
