DREXEL HILL, Pa. (CBS) — A newborn baby narrowly escaped serious injury this morning when a tree fell on a twin home in Drexel Hill, coming through the roof and bringing down power lines.
The baby got a minor laceration from a tree branch that landed on its crib. Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood says that after being checked out at a local hospital, the infant was declared in otherwise good condition.
The tree also damaged a gas meter at the home on School House Lane, but there was no fire.
