NEWARK, Del. (CBS) - One person is dead and another is in critical condition after a bus and a car collided on Interstate 95 in Newark Wednesday evening, according to police.

It happened on the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 southbound near Route 896 at about 5:30 p.m. Further details on the crash were not immediately released.

Authorities say the two victims were in the car. There were minor injuries to passengers on the bus, according to investigators.

Emergency crews are still on scene. The accident remains under investigation.

Several lanes of I-95 were shut down as a result of the accident. Commuters can expect delays.
