PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Eagles today released center Steve Vallos, and signed center Matt Tennant.
The Eagles cut Vallos at the end of 2012 training camp, but resigned him when starting center Jason Kelce was injured. Though Vallos was the backup to Dallas Reynolds, he was inactive for the Lions and Steelers games.
Tennant, 25 years old, was drafted in the fifth round of the 2010 draft by the New Orleans Saints, where he spent the 2010 and 2011 seasons. He was cut by the Patriots earlier this week.
