ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (CBS) – An officer was taken to the hospital after being struck by a car in Atlantic City early Monday morning.

The incident happened at about 2 a.m. at Pacific Avenue and New York Avenue.

Investigators did not release many details, but they did say an Atlantic City Police officer was struck at the location.

The officer was taken to the Atlantic City Medical Center in an unknown condition. The officer’s identity was not immediately released.

The incident remains under investigation.
