Dog Walk Fundraiser To Raise Money For Family Of Fallen Officer

By Jim Melwert

CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. (CBS) – Dogs, and their owners, are invited to a fundraiser in Conshohocken that will benefit the family of murdered Plymouth Township police officer Brad Fox.

All proceeds will go to The Fox Children's Fund, set up to support Officer Fox's young daughter and his unborn child.
Fox was shot and killed in the line of duty last month.

Organizer Keven Tierney says he and some other business owners in Conshohocken wanted to do something, and since Fox was a canine officer and his dog, Nick, was also injured in the shooting, they decided on "The Conshy Dog Walk."

"We're encouraging everyone to bring out their dog, but you don't have to have a dog. You can come out and just walk as well," says Tierney.

Since the event is on Halloween weekend, if you do have dog, there will be a Doggie Costume Contest.

The walk will be Saturday, the 27th, starting at 10 a.m. at the B field in Conshohocken at 13th Avenue and Harry Street. There's a $10 donation for a single walker, $25 for a family pass.

After the walk, there will be a picnic with burgers, hot dogs and other goodies.
