(“Avatar,” directed by James Cameron.)

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Some rather impressive feature films find themselves back in circulation this week.
The once-popular The Princess Bride, a 25-year-old classic starring Robin Wright and Carey Elwes, is now available in a special Blu-ray edition.
And Avatar, previously available only as a promotional exclusive for Panasonic Television, is now out in a 3-D Blu-ray version.
Then there’s The Hole, about a teenage boy and his ten-year-old brother who find distraction in small-town life when they learn that a trap door in their basement covers a seemingly bottomless hole.
So much for new ideas springing from vintage fiction.
