PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A new city bridge will be open to the public as of next Sunday, Oct. 20th.
The Schuylkill River Parks Connector Bridge, a 95-foot-long structure that connects the Schuylkill Banks to Schuylkill River Park at 25th and Lombard, will have entrances at Locust and Race Street. The bridge is 12 feet wide, equipped with handicap ramps and has a crossing gate that will close when trains are coming.
A special opening celebration will be held on Oct. 20th to coincide with the Fall Festival at Schuylkill River Park.
