BLOG: National Costume Swap Day 10/13

By Jim Donovan: Did you know that tomorrow, Saturday, October 13th is National Halloween Costume Swap Day? Well now you do!

Hundreds of communities across the country will gather this weekend to "swap" old costumes for new as a way to celebrate Halloween in an environmentally friendly and affordable way.

More than 150 swaps have been organized around the country by Green America's Green Halloween® program.

Some towns jumped the gun and held their events early (what's that all about?) Nonetheless in our area this Saturday events will be held at:

Solebury UMC - 2536 Aquetong Rd., New Hope Pa 18938
(This will be an indoor event held at a local church, swapping mainly children's costumes but adult costumes are welcomed as well.)

Olde City Day School,219 Cuthbert Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106
(Rain or Shine 9-Noon)

United Way of Hunterdon County, 95 Main Street in Flemington NJ
(8:30am-3pm)

For other events around the country and for more information visit http://www.greenhalloween.org/CostumeSwap/find_2012.html.
