Murder Trial Ordered for 'Black Madam' in Fatal Buttocks-Enhancement Injection

By Tony Hanson

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- She calls herself "Black Madam," but prosecutors call her a killer.

Today, Page Gordon (a/k/a Padge Victoria Winslowe) was ordered held for trial in the death of a woman who paid for bigger buttocks with her money -- and her life.

Gordon will stand trial on charges including third-degree murder and the unauthorized practice of medicine and surgery in the death of 20-year-old Claudia Aderotimi, who died in February of last year (see related story).

A witness, a friend of the victim, testified that she and Aderotimi came to Philadelphia from England and met the suspect at an airport hotel, where they got the butt enhancement injections (another related story).

Police say Gordon was injecting her clients with food-grade and industrial-grade silicone.

Almost immediately, the witness said today, the victim started to suffer. She had chest pains, trouble breathing, and died hours later.

The defense attorney says he is conceding nothing in this case. He is suggesting there is more to this story and the defendant will plead not guilty.
